More than 3 thousand gas connections will be cancelled in UP

Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, gas connections of 3,117 beneficiaries have been cancelled in Uttar Pradesh. These beneficiaries had not updated their Aadhaar information with the records of the gas agency.

Due to which their Aadhaar authentication could not be done.The government has made Aadhaar authentication mandatory for getting gas cylinder subsidy under the Ujjwala scheme.

If the beneficiaries do not link their Aadhaar with the gas agency records, they will not get the benefit of subsidy.

Gas connection cancelled by sending second notice within 15 days

Gas agencies have cancelled the connections of those beneficiaries who did not update their Aadhaar information by the stipulated time limit. These beneficiaries will now have to apply for a new connection.

Preparations are being made to cancel the connections of 3,117 beneficiaries of the Ujjwala Gas Scheme in Gonda district of UP. Their connections will be cancelled after giving them notice twice.3117 beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana in the district did not get the cylinder refilled again after getting the connection.

The beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana are advised to update their Aadhaar information with the records of the gas agency on time.So that they continue to get the benefit of subsidy and their connections are not cancelled. It is necessary to complete the eKYC process on time. So that your gas connection is not cancelled and you can avail the benefit of subsidy.

Regional Food Officer Shiv Prakash Tiwari said that now they have been given a last chance.These consumers will be given a notice to get e-KYC done. After 15 days, the connection will be cancelled by sending a second notice.
