Ghaziabad Police recently returned a total of 425 lost mobile phones to their owners in a commendable initiative. The total estimated value of these phones is about ₹ 1 crore.
This campaign is the result of a joint operation by Ghaziabad Railway Police and Trans Hindon Police, in which lost mobiles were identified with the help of technical evidence and surveillance and were delivered to their genuine owners.
Lost mobile phones returned due to DCP’s initiative
The police identified the lost mobiles using the Central Equipment Identity Register portal and other technical means.Stolen, snatched, looted and lost mobiles were recovered from various police stations of Ghaziabad like Indirapuram, Kaushambi, Khoda, Sahibabad, Link Road, Shalimar Garden, and Tilamod.
Some mobiles were also recovered from Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and other states, which had reached there through various means. There was a wave of happiness on the faces of the passengers when they got their mobiles back.
Many passengers appreciated the police’s initiative and thanked them. This campaign was not only successful in getting back the lost mobiles but also highlights the promptness and dedication of Ghaziabad police.
