In view of the increasing number of passengers and shortage of tickets during the summer season, Indian Railways has announced summer special trains from Uttar Pradesh to Delhi, Punjab and Uttarakhand.
The operation of these special trains will provide relief to the passengers and reduce the rush during travel.
Summer special will reduce the rush, 5 pairs of trains for UP
The expansion and modernization of the rail network in Uttar Pradesh holds an important place in the development plans of the state. Many important initiatives have been taken in this direction.
These will not only increase passenger facilities but will also strengthen the economy of the state.In the railway budget for the financial year 2025.26, ₹19.858 crore has been allocated to Uttar Pradesh. Which is much more than in previous years.
This will accelerate the pace of rail projects in the state and improve passenger facilities.Summer special trains will reduce the rush during summer holidays and make travelling easier.
In this sequence, five pairs of summer special trains will be run for various stations of Bihar including Delhi’s Anand Vihar Terminus, Punjab-Haryana’s capital Chandigarh, Rishikesh of Uttarakhand.
All these trains will pass through various stations of UP including Varanasi, Lucknow. From 22nd April to 15th July, every Tuesday, train number-04302 will depart from Yoganagari Rishikesh at 3.20 pm and will reach Cantt at 5.15 am the next day.
From here it will depart for Muzaffarpur.From 23rd April to 16th July, every Wednesday, train number 04301 will depart from Muzaffarpur Junction at 3 pm and arrive at Cantt at 10.50 pm.
From here it will depart for Yoganagari Rishikesh.100% electrification of broad gauge rail network has been completed in Uttar Pradesh. This will not only help in environmental protection but will also improve the speed and operation of trains.
Implementation of Armor System
From 24 April to 10 July, every Thursday, train number-04094 will depart from Anand Vihar at 11.55 pm and will reach Cantt at 3 pm the next day. It will depart from here to Jogbani.
From 26 April to 12 July, every Saturday, train number-04093 will depart from Jogbani at 9.30 am and arrive at Cantt at 2 pm. From here it will go to Anand Vihar. Senior DCM Kuldeep Tiwari of Northern Railway (Lucknow Division) said that from 22 April to 11 July, every Tuesday and Friday, train number-04098 will depart from Anand Vihar at 5 am and arrive at Cantt at 4.50 pm.
It will depart from here to Sitamarhi.On the return journey, from 23rd April to 12th July, every Wednesday and Saturday, train number-04097 will depart from Sitamarhi at 4 am and arrive at Cantt at 1.25 pm. From 24th April to 29th May, every Thursday, train number-04504 special will depart from Chandigarh at 11.35 pm and arrive at Cantt at 5.15 pm the next day.It will depart from here to Patna.
Every Friday from 25 April to 30 May, train number 04503 special will depart from Patna at 11.30 pm.From 22 April 2025 to 11 July, train number-04012 special will depart from Delhi Junction every Tuesday and Friday at 7.30 pm and will reach Cantt station at 9.30 am the next day.
It will leave for Darbhanga from here.From 23rd April to 12th July, every Wednesday and Saturday, train number – 04011 will depart from Darbhanga at 10.20 pm and will reach Cantt at 9.05 am the next day. From here it will depart for Delhi.
