In various cities of UP, strict measures are being taken against illegal construction. Development authority has sealed many buildings. Most of the structures were already built. During this time, an order was issued to conduct a survey of these sealed buildings within a few days and to submit a report.
Survey Report of Sealed Houses
Development authority employees are bombarded with complaints and questions on a daily basis in Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. A study found that sealed buildings would either be put in the green belt or their construction work would be completed after a few days.
The district officer is aware of all this and the data of buildings sealed earlier has been sought. Under this, investigation of 128 sealed buildings has started.
Most of this work has now been completed. After the formation of Azamgarh Development Authority in 2008, a scheme for online map approval was started in 2020. 839 people had submitted their documents, out of which 371 maps were approved and 452 were immediately rejected due to irregularities.
At that time, 16 maps also had to wait for testing, while the Azamgarh Development Authority sealed 128 buildings after finding them not in accordance with the map or contrary to it.
Construction work continues
According to a survey, one or two of these sealed houses have also been abandoned. At present, the construction work of the entire building has been completed. Meanwhile, the Azamgarh Development Authority has closed the Nirmala Din Bhawan and kept it under police surveillance.
The special thing in this is that the construction work has been completed even in the Greenland sealed by Azamgarh Development Authority and commercial activities have started.
Out of the buildings which were closed by Azamgarh Development Authority, only eight people have got their maps approved. According to the information received, questions are being raised on the officials of Azamgarh Development Authority and the police administration as to where is the department’s team and why is it silent.
This is absolutely beyond comprehension. Now all the buildings that have been sealed in the district and against which demolition orders have been issued are on the instructions of the District Magistrate. Information is being collected by investigating all of them. Further action will be taken as per the rules as soon as the order is passed.
