Now important decisions are being taken regarding the expressway project in Uttar Pradesh to make travel between major cities easier and faster. Looking at the present and future, the possibility of increasing traffic is being further increased and shortcomings are being removed.
Quick and easy connectivity across cities
The wait of the local people waiting for the construction of the Rajdhani Lucknow Expressway in Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh is now clearly over. After the upcoming 31st July, vehicles on the Kanpur city and Rajdhani Lucknow Expressway will get a great opportunity to talk to the winds.
On Monday, Kanpur District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh along with the departmental team inspected this important work.
According to the test, he said that efforts are being made to complete the 45 km long road by July 31. The construction work of the 17 km long road has started and efforts are being made to complete it by October.
The District Magistrate said that with the construction of the expressway, it can take about 35 to 40 minutes to travel between Kanpur city and the capital Lucknow. This expressway, which started last year in 2023, will be comfortably operated by the people by the end of this year.
More conflict likely in the future
Jitendra Pratap Singh, Kanpur district officer, said that a 45-km patch had to be ready by May 31. But even then the construction work is running late. Since the scheme began, the PD has been changed four times.
This has caused delay as PD is currently the project director. According to the information received, he has back pain, so all the officers have been ordered to work faster. The top officer at the government level has been given complete information during this time.
The District Magistrate said that now one can also get the opportunity to go from Jajmau to Kanpur on this expressway. The capital Lucknow and Kanpur Expressway is being built as a high speed corridor, said Saurabh Chaurasia, Project Director of National Highways Authority of India.
During this period, bikes, autos and small loader vehicles have been banned for security reasons.Other expressways built by the National Highways Authority of India, like the Agra and Lucknow Expressways, are facing traffic flow issues due to slow speed of light vehicles, so only cars and heavy vehicles will be allowed.
