Keeping in mind the increasing crowd during summer holidays in the country and the convenience of passengers, Indian Railways has taken important steps. Special summer trains will be run for various important cities of the country via Varanasi Cantt station.
These trains will run between April and July and these include many superfast and Vande Bharat special trains. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Kuldeep Tiwari shared this information.
These special trains will run:-
a) Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Varanasi Special Train (04604/04603):
Departure from Katra: From April 20 to July 8, every week at 6:15 pm
Arrival at Varanasi: Next day at 7:00 pm
Return from Varanasi: Every Tuesday at 5:00 am
Arrival at Katra: Next day at 6:00 am
b) Varanasi-Chandigarh Superfast Special (05015/05016):
Departure from Varanasi: From April 19 to July 6, every Saturday at 2:50 pm
Arrival in Chandigarh: Sunday at 7:45 am
Return from Chandigarh: Every Sunday at 9:30 am
Arrival in Varanasi: 1:20 pm
c) Anand Vihar Terminal-Barauni Special (04074/04073):
Departure from Anand Vihar: 20 April to 7 July, 7:30 pm
Arrival at Barauni: 6:00 pm next day
Halliance at Varanasi Cantt in both directions
d) Haridwar-Rajgir Special Train (03451/03452):
Departure from Rajgir: From April 11 to June 28, every Friday at 6:05 am
Arrival at Varanasi: 2:05 pm
Arrival at Haridwar: 6:05 am the next day
Return from Haridwar: Every Saturday at 7:20 am
Reaching Rajgir via Varanasi: Varanasi at 10:30 pm, Rajgir at 7:15 am the next day
e) Lucknow-Chhapra Vande Bharat Special (02565/02566):
Start: 27 April to 11 July, 6 days a week (except Tuesday)
Departure from Lucknow: 2:15 pm
Arrival at Varanasi Cantt: 6:20 pm
Arrival at Chhapra: 9:30 pm (via Ghazipur City, Ballia, Suremanpur)
Return from Chhapra: 11:00 pm
Arrival at Varanasi: 2:30 am
Return to Lucknow: 6:30 am
f) Rajgir-Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Special Train (03455/03456):
Departure from Rajgir: April 14 to July 2, 2:00 pm
Arrival at Varanasi: 8:55 pm
Arrival at Katra: Next day at 11:05 pm
Return from Katra: 3:15 am
Arrival at Varanasi: 7:05 am
Return at Rajgir: 3:00 pm
Running these special trains for the convenience of passengers in summer is a great step. These trains will provide great relief to pilgrims, tourists and passengers returning home during holidays.
