In UP, there is a plan to launch the Ganga Express at a high speed. In a few days, vehicles will be able to travel at high speeds on the Ganga Express, which is 594 km long.

Since the toll rate per kilometer for the state’s longest expressway in 2025 and 2026 was established using the wholesale currency index, UPDA has now begun choosing a consulting firm to calculate the toll fee. The toll fee will not be less than this.

During this time, the rate will be 2.55 rupees per kilometer for vans, cars, jeeps, and light vehicles, 4.05 rupees per kilometer for light commercial vehicles and minibuses, and 8.15 rupees per kilometer for buses and trucks. After that, the rate will be Rs 12.55 per kilometer for heavy construction vehicles and Rs 16.05 per kilometer for oversized vehicles.

Now, 70 paise, Rs 1.10, Rs 2.10, Rs 3.15, and Rs 4.15 per kilometer are the set toll rates for using the bypass. The Ganga Expressway is anticipated to travel through 12 distinct state districts throughout this time.Which includes Rae Bareli, Meerut, Unnao, Hapur, Hardoi, Bulandshahr, Shahjahanpur, Amroha, Badaun, Sambhal, Prayagraj and Pratapgarh districts.

Tracking technical quality and cutting down on journey time

Four groups of entry-controlled, six- to eight-lane expandable green field Ganga Express are reportedly being built in the last stages, and these roads will soon be available to traffic, according to the information received.

In order to determine the Ganga Express toll tariff, UPDA has now decided to request offers from knowledgeable and experienced consultants. The Uttar Pradesh Toll Rules will now be used to determine the toll cost.

Wherein a strategy to calculate the cost per kilometer for various vehicle kinds is being developed. For single and return trips, as well as monthly passes under various categories, the toll rate will now be determined in accordance with the regulations.

In the PPP approach, around four businesses have modeled the Ganga Expressway. Meerut and Badaun Expressway Limited, Badaun and Hardoi Road Private Limited, Hardoi and Unnao Road Private Limited, and Unnao Prayagraj Road Private Limited are developing the expressway.IRB Infrastructure Development Limited is the first of these, and Adani Enterprises owns the other three.
