Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, saw sunshine and humid heat all day Thursday. However, by evening, the weather turned sour and there was a lot of rain. The people were greatly relieved when it began to rain fiercely for around an hour.
The Meteorological Department reports that Thursday’s high temperature in Lucknow was 37.2 degrees Celsius, 0.8 degrees lower than average. At 28.1 degrees, the lowest recorded temperature was 1.2 degrees below average. According to meteorologists, the temperature will continue to drop over the next few days.
According to the Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon arrived in Uttar Pradesh via Sonbhadra district on schedule on June 18. It is now gradually making its way to other regions of the state.
As of right now, Barmer, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Gwalior, Khajuraho, Sonbhadra, and Gaya are all within the monsoon’s Northern Limit (NLM). The monsoon is predicted to increase in speed and activity as a result of the low pressure region that developed in West Bengal and Central Rajasthan.
The monsoon is expected to arrive in the capital city of Lucknow by June 23; however, given the current circumstances, it may arrive in as little as 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, the state as a whole will shortly see an increase in the intensity of the rain.
From June 20 to 22, the Meteorological Department has warned of storms, thunderstorms, and heavy rain. In certain places, there may also be heavy rain. On June 21, there will be a lot of rain in Lucknow.Lightning is predicted to occur during this time, along with severe winds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.
In Uttar Pradesh, the following districts are susceptible to heavy rains, strong winds, and thunderstorms: Gorakhpur, Shravasti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Ghazipur and Faizabad, Azagarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Ambedkarnagar, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Basti, Gonda, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Barabanki, Jaunpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, and Bahraich.
