In Uttar Pradesh, the monsoon season has started. Both the eastern and western regions of the state are seeing constant rain. Heavy rain is expected in various parts of the state on Wednesday and Thursday, according to the Meteorological Department. In 14 districts in the Terai and Bundelkhand regions, an alert has been issued.
Heavy rain is predicted in the Uttar Pradesh districts of Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, and Rampur, where an orange alert has been issued. In addition, more than 70 districts have the potential to experience lightning and thunder. People have been told to exercise caution.
Nearly every district in Uttar Pradesh could see thunderstorms and heavy rain with strong gusts within the next 24 hours, according to the Meteorological Department’s assessment. Hamirpur, Pratapgarh, Kanpur, Auraiya, Jaunpur, and Sultanpur all experienced light rain on Tuesday, June 24.
The North Terai regions of Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit, and Bahraich may see more rain on Wednesday and Thursday, June 25 and 26, according to Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist at the Regional Meteorological Center in the capital, Lucknow.
In these districts, a yellow alert has been issued due to excessive rainfall: Meerut, Amroha, Bareilly, Bagpat, Bagpat, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Pilibhit, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Jalaun.
People have been urged by the Meteorological Department to stay indoors during this weather, stay away from lightning, and monitor any weather-related information.
