Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation is once again going to start the ‘Meal on Road’ service, through which passengers will be able to enjoy their favourite food without interrupting their journey.
Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) is now preparing to give an even better experience to its passengers during their journey.The corporation is relaunching a facility called ‘Meal on Road’, so that passengers will no longer have to wander around for food on the way.
Passengers will be able to book food online with the help of a mobile app while sitting in the bus.To implement this new initiative, the company that gets the tender will develop a special mobile app. This ‘Meal on Road’ app will be available on Google Play Store, through which passengers will be able to order food at the contracted food plaza of UP Roadways.
As soon as the app is opened, the order will be booked by entering the bus number, travel date and route, and the food will be waiting for the passenger at the respective food plaza.Passengers will not only get convenience but they will also be able to give feedback on food quality and bus staff’s behavior through the app.
This feedback will reach the Transport Corporation officials directly so that services can be improved.Officials believe that this step will ensure that passengers get timely, clean and nutritious food and the food plaza will also be monitored better.
Transport Corporation Managing Director Masoom Ali Sarwar informed that guidelines are being issued to all regional and assistant regional managers regarding this service. This entire system will be reviewed once a week through video conferencing so that all aspects can be monitored.
This will not only provide relief to passengers but will also increase the income of the corporation and the food plaza. The journey will no longer be just a means to reach the destination, but will become an experience full of taste and convenience.
