The Yogi government has taken an important step to speed up development work in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh government has approved Rs 218 crore for the development of Mathura. This step is very important from the point of view of economic and infrastructure improvement of Mathura.

Yogi government approved 218 crores

The main objective of this budget approved by the Yogi government is to improve the condition of infrastructure in Mathura district. It mainly focuses on roads, water supply, sewerage system, and smart city projects.

Apart from this, many projects will also be started to improve the experience of tourists in Mathura. This will increase local business and employment opportunities.

The Tourism Department has approved 12 projects worth Rs 218.21 crore for a total of 12 projects including tourism development in Mathura and beautification of Govardhan Parikrama Marg for devotees.Through these projects, the infrastructure facilities related to devotees and tourists will be improved.

On the proposal of Mathura MP Hema Malini, Rs. 17.73 crore for the project of Radha Bihari Inter College Tourist Facilitation Center located in Barsana, Rs. 33.59 crore for the expansion work of Tourist Facilitation Center Building located in Vrindavan, Rs. 6 crore for plantation of native species,Under the Chief Minister’s Tourism Development Participation Scheme, an amount of Rs 4.76 crore has been sanctioned for lighting on the main roads of Vrindavan and Barsana.

Many new steps will be taken to make Mathura a smart city.This includes smart parking, digital signal system, and better traffic system. Along with this, modern facilities will be built at major sites for the convenience of tourists.

Hema Malini’s proposal was also approved

On the proposal of MLA Puran Prakash of Baldev Assembly constituency, Rs 6.73 crore for the development work of coastal facilities from Vrindavan to Mathura under cruise tourism service at Yamuna Ghat, Akrur Ghat, Devraha Baba Ghat, KC Ghat, Matrod Ghat, Jugalkishore Ghat.

An amount of Rs 35.53 crore has been approved for the development work of multi-level car parking for tourist convenience in Vrindavan and an amount of Rs 2.11 crore has been approved for the facing work on the hill in Rakoli, Ropani village in Barsana.

Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said that in view of the historical, cultural and religious importance of Mathura, various construction works and tourism development of major places are being carried out.Among these approved projects, Rs 6.79 crore has been approved for the tourism development of the ancient Shiva temple Farah in Mathura, and Rs 20.99 crore has been approved for facade improvement-signage on Govardhan Parikrama Marg.

An amount of Rs 43.66 crore has been sanctioned for the development of Yamuna river ghats, Rs 18.33 crore for development works in village Jachonda within Tehsil Sadar and Rs 22.01 crore for CCTV cameras etc. on the remaining part of Vrindavan Parikrama Marg and other important places.

Road improvement and widening projects will be given priority to improve the condition of the major routes of Mathura. This will not only increase the ease of traffic but will also strengthen the routes connecting Mathura to other cities.
