Traffic jam, increasing crowd and chaos pose challenges in Basti

The Basti administration has set fixed routes for e-rickshaws for the main routes within and around the city. Under this, now every e-rickshaw driver will be allowed to operate only on a fixed route. No driver will be able to pick up passengers on other roads without a fixed route.

According to the administration, this scheme has been brought with the aim of solving the problem of traffic jam, uncontrolled e-rickshaw operation and illegal parking. To solve the problem of traffic jam, the administration has implemented a new route chart for e-rickshaws.

Under this rule, e-rickshaws will now be able to run only on designated routes. The new e-rickshaw route chart implemented in Basti is a positive step towards improving the system. However, some drivers are also worried about their earnings.

The administration should maintain flexibility in route determination and keep changing the policy according to local needs. On the other hand, many drivers are upset with this rule.

They say that their earnings have been affected due to the restriction on the route.Ankit, a driver from Gandhinagar area, said that earlier he used to earn 600-700 rupees daily. Now it has come down to 200-300 rupees.

Some drivers are also facing problems in paying the installments of bank loans. If this system is implemented properly, then a significant improvement can be seen in both the traffic conditions and e-rickshaw operations in Basti city.

Encroachment on the road, unregulated bus and taxi stops

There have been two types of reactions among e-rickshaw drivers regarding the new rule. Station route driver Suresh Kumar Sharma says that the new rule is beneficial. According to him, now there will be fewer fights for passengers. Also, passenger service will also improve.

Some driver organizations have demanded relaxation in the rules from the administration. The administration believes that the new rules will ease traffic on the main roads and solve the problem of jam.Basti city is rapidly progressing towards development.

Nowadays it is facing a serious problem of traffic jam. Traffic jams are seen daily around main crossings, markets and government offices.Due to which the general life is getting affected. The number of e-rickshaws has increased rapidly in the city. But due to lack of regulation and ignorance of the route chart, they stop everywhere.

Due to which traffic is obstructed. Vehicles are parked on the road outside shops and offices.Due to which the roads become narrow and the traffic starts crawling.

The carts, temporary shops of shopkeepers and construction material on the side of the footpath and road have left no space for the traffic. Private bus and taxi drivers pick up and drop passengers in the middle of the roads. Due to which the traffic comes to a halt.
