The Uttar Pradesh government has taken important steps towards the modernization of bus stations to provide better facilities to bus passengers across the state.
Under this initiative, old and dilapidated bus station will be equipped with modern facilities. This will provide passengers a more comfortable and convenient travel experience.

Bus stations in major cities of the state will be rebuilt. These will include facilities like air-conditioned lounges, restaurants, shopping malls, and bank ATMs.
Apart from this, facilities like water kiosks, toilets, and theatres for entertainment will also be provided.To get rid of the problem of traffic jam in the city and to provide convenience to the passengers, there are plans to build bus stations at the four entry points of the city.
After the bus station is built, electric buses will be run inside the city and roadways buses will be run outside the city.The further process is on hold after marking the land in Koni and Baghagada.
For this, the Transport Corporation will now take initiative at the local level through the administration. Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, sleeper facility, better seating, and better arrangements for luggage will be made in the roadways buses.
Apart from this, with the addition of new buses to the fleet, passengers will experience more comfortable travel. Public-private partnership model will be adopted to implement these improvements.

The process of construction and modernization of bus stations in Uttar Pradesh has gained momentum. This will provide better facilities and convenient travel experience to the passengers. The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model for the development of seven major bus stations.
Under these projects, these bus stations will be leased for 90 years, this initiative will modernize these stations which will include modern facilities like air-conditioned lounges, restaurants, shopping malls, and services like bank ATMs.Three to five acres of area will be required to build a bus station. The way the city is expanding rapidly.
