The development of a city is judged by its cleanliness, road system and drainage system. Keeping this in mind, the Municipal Corporation and the local administration are now working rapidly to improve the roads, drains and sanitation system of the streets.
This initiative will not only improve the lifestyle of the citizens but is also an important step towards a healthy and clean society.
Speed up work on drains and cleanliness
Along with the main roads of the city, the administration has now started giving priority to the repair and construction of broken roads in the streets. Earlier people used to be troubled by potholes and dusty roads in the streets.
Now paved and flat roads are being constructed there. This is not only making transportation easier but the chances of accidents have also reduced. Works worth about Rs 9 crore will be done in 946 gram panchayats of Bulandshahr district.
This amount will be spent on roads, drains and cleanliness of the streets. All the work to be done from this amount has to be completed by the 30th of this month. All the village heads and village secretaries have been instructed for this.
He said that instructions have been given to the village head and secretaries to give information about all the work to be done from this amount to the department. Along with this, funds are expected to be received soon from the government for other development works as well.
As soon as the funds are received from the central and state governments, they will be sent to all the gram panchayats. After this, development work will be carried out at a fast pace in all the panchayats. A major reason for waterlogging and dirt in the streets is blocked drains.
To eradicate this problem from its roots, the municipal corporation teams are regularly cleaning the drains and wherever needed, new drains are also being constructed.Work is also going on to cover drains at many places. This will not only reduce dirt but will also provide convenience to pedestrians.
A step towards a clean and developed city
Now cleaning work is being done with the help of machines and modern equipment instead of traditional methods. Small cleaning vehicles are being deployed to clean the streets and door-to-door garbage collection has also been made more systematic.
This initiative is proving to be helpful in keeping the city clean as well as in waste management. District Panchayat Raj Officer Dr. Pritam Singh said that this time development work will be done in all the 946 gram panchayats of the district with an amount of Rs 80 crore.
The government has given permission for this. At the same time, the department has to get necessary works done in all the Gram Panchayats including roads, drains and cleanliness of the streets from the approximately nine crore rupees already available with it.
For this, the amount has been sent to all the Gram Panchayats as per the requirement.Public participation is also important in making the cleanliness campaign successful. Campaigns are being run at many places to make local residents aware.
In which the importance of cleanliness is explained.Citizens are being appealed to dump garbage at designated places. Do not litter in the open and cooperate with the cleaners. The problem of waterlogging in the streets becomes common during the rainy season.
Keeping this in mind, the administration is engaged in cleaning drains, repairing roads and improving the drainage system before the monsoon. This preparation will help in preventing problems like floods and provide relief to the citizens.
