Bulldozer ran in UP, illegal creeps removed from Ramlila Maidan Jadid Bazar

Bansi (Siddharthnagar): After a lot of struggle, the administration on Sunday demolished the symbols of various types of encroachments by running a bulldozer on the land of Ramlila Maidan Jadid Bazar located in Rapti Nagar Mohalla under Nagar Palika Parishad Bansi.

The process of removing illegal encroachments from Ramlila Maidan, which was going on for almost three years, came to an end on 20 April.In order to ensure that no injustice is done to anyone, the administration, after measuring the Ramlila ground for the third time before taking any action, and after marking it, decided to remove the encroachment of more than three dozen illegal encroachers.

District Magistrate Dr Raja Ganapathi R, who had reached Ramlila Maidan several days before the bulldozer action, had talked to the illegal occupants and told them to remove their belongings and encroachments themselves. People were busy removing their belongings and encroachments on their own.

As per the instructions of the District Magistrate, the bulldozer action was to be taken on 19th April itself. More than half a dozen bulldozers and many dumpers were arranged. But in view of the political activities, the action was postponed to the next day to make the security arrangements more tight.

On Sunday, a large number of police personnel were deployed by putting up barricades on the roads leading outside the Ramlila ground.Apart from the police from several police stations, a battalion of PAC personnel was also present.

Water tankers and fire extinguisher cylinders were also arranged on the spot.Before the bulldozer action, ADM Gaurav Srivastava, Sub-District Magistrate Shashank Shekhar Rai, SDM Dumariyaganj Dr. Sanjeev Dixit, Tehsildar Piyush Srivastava inspected each house.

Apart from EO Mukesh Kumar, many municipal employees were present.The bulldozer work which started at around 12 noon continued till the end of the work at around 5 pm.

Police from many police stations including ASP Siddharth, CO Bansi Mayank Dwivedi, Shivnagar Dindai in-charge Shashank Singh, Khesraha police station in-charge Chandan Kumar, Shohrat Garh Inspector Vindeshwari Mani Tripathi etc. were present.

Congress submitted memorandum

On Sunday, people of the Congress Party protested against the administration’s action of demolishing the residential houses of the people who had been living for years in the Ramlila ground of Mangal Bazar and the shops of the shopkeepers with the help of a bulldozer, in protest against the District Congress Party President Qazi under the leadership of Suhail Ahmed, a memorandum addressed to the Governor was handed over to the Tehsildar Bansi in the absence of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate demanding stopping of the demolition process.

On this occasion, Congress District President Qazi Suhail Ahmed and former assembly candidate Devendra Kumar Guddu said that for the past fifty years a lot of people have been living in Ramlila Maidan market by building houses and shops and everyone has the papers of the sale deed of the land.

But the administration is bent on dictatorship and is trying to forcibly displace people, which we Congress people will absolutely not tolerate.Abhinay Rai, Krishna Bahadur Singh and General Secretary Rajan Srivastava said that the administration should re-measure the boundary of Ramlila Maidan and check the veracity of people’s sale deed documents, until then the demolition action should be stopped.

Anil Singh Annu, Manoj Shrivastava, Ashwani Singh Solanki, Vicky Rizvi, Santosh Tripathi, Riaz Manihar, Mobin Khaghan, Sudama Prasad, Nand Kishore Shukla, Amit Tripathi, Rampal Sharma etc. and many other Congress members were present.
