Four lanes are a type of road which is mainly built keeping in mind the increasing number of traffic and safety. These roads are built with a central portion in between two lanes (depending on the direction).

Four lane roads are usually constructed on routes where there is high traffic pressure and where long trips or high speed travel is required.

Deoria-Kasya road is waiting to become four lane

Four lane roads are being developed under various development schemes and government initiatives so that the traffic problem can be solved and people can experience safe, fast and convenient travel.

Work on the plan to convert the two-lane road from Tarkulwa district headquarters to Kasya into a four lane road has not started yet. The demarcation work to increase the width of this road has been completed months ago.This road connects Kushinagar, the place of Mahaparinirvana of Lord Buddha.

After its four lane construction, the number of tourists will increase and employment opportunities will also increase.There is disappointment among the local people due to the delay in the construction of the four-lane road. People fear that this plan may remain in the files only.

A four-lane road has two lanes for each direction. Which ensures equal flow of traffic in both directions. This is a kind of improvement of the road.So that traffic can be more smooth and the chances of accidents are reduced.

Four lane roads have a median area. Which separates the traffic of both directions. It plays a safety role to prevent accidents and maintains the gap between vehicles going from one side to the other.

An important step in improving road transport

The width of the Deoria-Kasya highway is currently 10 meters. A work plan has been prepared to make it a four lane highway and increase it to 24 meters. The distance between Deoria and Kasya is 34 km. Of this, 28 km falls in Deoria and 6 km in Kushinagar district.

It is estimated that about Rs 400 crore will be spent on its construction. Its proposal was sent in March last financial year, which could not be passed. Its proposal is being made again in the current financial year.

Demarcation work has been done at 12-12 meters on both sides from the middle of the road. To convert the road from two lanes to four lane, shifting of electric poles, cutting of trees and construction of drains has to be done.Its cost is separate. With this road being a four lane road, the journey to reach Kushinagar International Airport will become easier.

The number of tourists will increase. There will be relief from traffic jams and there will be ease in movement. The movement of large and commercial vehicles will increase business activities in the area.

Four-lane roads usually have higher speed limits, which allow drivers to travel faster and more efficiently. Better safety measures are followed on four lane roads.Such as road side signs, signal road markings, and traffic signs that encourage drivers to follow traffic rules.
