The state’s largest textile park is now going to be built in Lucknow district of Uttar Pradesh. The construction of this park will not only bring a new impetus to the industrial stream of the state. But it will also generate lakhs of employment opportunities. This initiative is an important step towards economic development and employment generation of the state government. Which is working towards making Uttar Pradesh a major industrial hub.
This textile park in the state is being built especially to promote the textile industry. Uttar Pradesh is a major producer state in the textile sector. And the construction of this new park can give the state an edge in the competition at the global level. This park will strengthen the economic structure of the state and attract business activities from other parts of the country. The company will be selected on April 10 to establish and develop the state’s largest textile park in Malihabad, Lucknow. The Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department had sought tenders from companies till March 10 to develop the textile park, the date of which has been extended to April 10. However, a pre-tender meeting has been held with the concerned companies to develop the park. To develop the state as a textile hub, the government is also setting up ten new textile parks in the state under the Chief Minister Vastra Paridhan Yojana.
These textile parks will be set up in Barabanki, Hapur, Kanpur, Bhadohi, Sant Kabir Nagar, Mau, Gorakhpur, Ghaziabad, Hardoi and Meerut. In the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, two MoUs worth Rs 700 crore have also been signed to invest in the textile sector recently. Modern infrastructure will be arranged in this textile park. Which will facilitate various stages of the textile industry such as supply of raw materials, production, design, and marketing. The following major facilities will be provided in this park. The construction of this textile park will generate employment opportunities in the district and the state. Not only will the workers and employees working in this park get job opportunities. But along with the development of the textile industry, the overall economy will also grow. This initiative will also prove beneficial for local traders and small entrepreneurs. Because they will get an opportunity to take their products to bigger markets.
This textile park is located 16 km from Malihabad railway station and 40 km from Lucknow railway station. Its distance from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport is about 45 km. It is being connected by a four-lane road. The construction of this textile park will take Uttar Pradesh in a new direction from an industrial and economic point of view. This will not only accelerate the economic development of the state. But it can also prove to be an important milestone for the Indian textile industry. This park can make the state a major center of textile production and will strengthen the Indian textile industry in global competition.
