The much-awaited bypass project aimed at making the Ayodhya-Balrampur road in Uttar Pradesh smooth has been given the green signal. Preparations for this project have now accelerated. The Public Works Department (PWD) will acquire 1.9 hectares of land at a cost of about Rs 6.90 crore, which will enable construction of about one kilometre of new road.
In this regard, Executive Engineer of PWD Section-2 Vinod Tripathi has sent a letter to the Sadar Sub-District Magistrate for land acquisition and has requested to form a team of the Revenue Department and start the survey. According to the initial estimate, this land will be acquired from the fields of about 70 farmers.
This bypass project is considered important to provide relief to the city residents from traffic problems. A large part of this bypass, which is wider than the double lane and is approximately 10.5 metres wide, will be built on the roads located on the old tracks of the Saryu Canal. To strengthen and widen these roads, a letter has been written to the superintending engineer of the irrigation department to issue a no objection certificate (NOC). Construction work on these tracks will begin only after receiving the NOC.
The first section of the bypass will start from the Saryu bridge of Padrikripal village and will go to Turkadiha village via Lalchandpurwa, Bharwalia, Kevalpur, Uttaranpurwa and Mawalishah Purwa. From there, this route will go through Muravanpurwa and Nauwapurwa and will join the Utraula road from the Saryu bridge located at Dhanauli Bazaar.
The second part will start from in front of Balidani KP Singh Inter College ahead of Soni Gumti bridge and will pass through Soni Harlal, Laxmanpur, Majhwa and Ummedjot and connect with Ayodhya Road.Executive Engineer Vinod Tripathi informed that this project will not only improve the traffic system but will also provide convenience to the local residents in commuting. Along with this, trade and agricultural transportation will also get a boost.
