UP: Good news for employees, government increased dearness allowance

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced an increase in dearness allowance for state government employees and pensioners. This decision has been taken with the aim of improving the living standards of employees and reducing the impact of inflation.

Now the dearness allowance of these state employees has increased

CM Yogi Adityanath has recently announced an increase in the dearness allowance of state employees and pensioners. This increase has been made as a percentage of the basic salary of the employees. Which will increase their monthly income.

On Tuesday, the government increased the dearness allowance of state employees getting fifth and sixth pay scale in the state by 11 percent and 6 percent respectively.

These include full-time employees of aided educational institutions, urban local bodies and employees receiving UGC pay scale. On Tuesday, an order was issued to increase the dearness allowance of civil service officers working in the state by two percent.

These officers will now get 55 percent dearness allowance instead of 53 percent. This will also be effective from January 1, 2025. This increase in dearness allowance will put an additional financial burden on the state government treasury.

However, the government has said that this increase is necessary for the welfare of the employees and to improve their standard of living. Apart from this, the Chief Minister has also announced bonus to the state employees and pensioners on the occasion of Deepawali.

This bonus reflects the government’s appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the employees. The increase in dearness allowance and the announcement of bonus will provide financial relief to the state employees. This step reflects the government’s commitment towards the employees and its sensitivity towards their welfare.

Public welfare schemes, public response

The government of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, which has brought a big change in the politics of Uttar Pradesh, is getting widespread appreciation among the people. The way the Yogi government has focused on law and order, infrastructure and social welfare since coming to power in 2017 is commendable.The wave of change can be felt in the state.

The first thing that the public appreciated the most was the improvement in the law and order of the state. The same policy has now been adopted in Uttar Pradesh, which is infamous for hooliganism.Encounter policy against criminals and empowerment of police is strengthening the sense of security among the public.

The Yogi government has also laid emphasis on infrastructure development. The development of expressways, airports and smart cities has attracted the attention of investors. Projects like Purvanchal Expressway and Ganga Expressway are changing the standard of living of the people.

Under this, the employees getting the fifth pay scale will now get 466 percent instead of 455 percent and the employees getting the sixth pay scale will now get 252 percent dearness allowance instead of 246 percent. The increased rate will be applicable from January 1, 2025.The balance amount payable from January 1 to March 31, 2025 will be deposited in the employee’s provident fund account.

At the same time, 10 percent of the dearness allowance of the employees covered under the National Pension Scheme will be deposited in their pension account for the said period, while 14 percent amount will be deposited by the state government. The remaining 90 percent amount will be deposited in the PPF account of the employees.
