The Uttar Pradesh government has planned to build industrial corridors along five major expressways to accelerate the industrial development of the state. Under this plan, four new industrial areas will be developed in Barabanki, Sitapur and Hardoi districts. Which are located along the Purvanchal Expressway.
Growth momentum and future prospects
The process of land acquisition for the industrial corridor in Barabanki, Sitapur and Hardoi along the Purvanchal Expressway has started. Land will be acquired in these districts. Land has already been purchased. The total budget of this project has been fixed at crores of rupees.
Investors investing in the state can get land to set up industries. For this, UPSIDA is preparing to start many new industrial areas in the state. New industrial areas will be started in those districts of the state where entrepreneurs have received the maximum investment proposals.
Under this, preparations are being made to inaugurate four new industrial areas in the capital Lucknow and the surrounding districts. Land has been purchased for these industrial areas. Apart from this, industrial activities will be started on the land of closed spinning mills.
Apart from this, new industrial corridors will be started in more than 25 districts of the state.
Industries like pharma parks, textile parks, warehouses, logistics centres, electronic equipment, hosiery, food processing, milk processing, pharmaceutical, IT parks, heavy industries and machinery will be set up in these industrial corridors.
This will increase employment opportunities in these areas and strengthen the local economy. A total of 32 industrial cities will be developed along the Ganga Expressway, Agra-Lucknow Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway and Gorakhpur Link Expressway in Uttar Pradesh.
Of these, 11 industrial cities will be developed on Ganga Expressway, 6 on Bundelkhand Expressway, 6 on Purvanchal Expressway, 5 on Agra-Lucknow Expressway and 2 on Gorakhpur Link Expressway. This will accelerate the industrial activities of the state and attract investors.
Network of industrial corridors along the expressways
The Uttar Pradesh government has given top priority to the development of these industrial corridors. The process of land acquisition by UPEDA (Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Authority) is going on at a fast pace. This has increased the chances of timely completion of the projects.
The state government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath aims to take the state’s economy to one trillion dollars. The industrial area will be developed on 230 acres of land at Ramsanehi Ghat in Barabanki.
For this, land has also been purchased from the District Panchayat. Apart from this, an industrial area is being developed on 70 acres of land of a closed spinning mill in Barabanki. Along with starting a new industrial area, industrial corridors will also be started along the expressway.
Land is also being acquired for this. These industrial corridors will be developed along the Agra-Lucknow, Purvanchal Expressway, Gorakhpur Link Expressway and Bundelkhand Expressway.
So that entrepreneurs can get better connectivity along with land. Apart from this, an industrial area is being developed on 225 acres of land in Sadhinwan, Hardoi. Also, an industrial area is being developed on 160 acres of land of a closed spinning mill in Sitapur.
According to senior officials of UPSIDA, allotment of land to entrepreneurs in these industrial areas will start soon and the development of these industrial corridors is an important step in this direction.
Through these industrial corridors, industrial development in Uttar Pradesh will get a new direction and the prosperity and employment opportunities of the state will increase.
