UP: Expansion of Vande Bharat train!

In view of the increasing number of passengers in summer, the Railways has extended the service of Vande Bharat Special train running between Lucknow and Chhapra till 11 July 2025. This train will run 6 days a week and its operation was earlier scheduled till 26 April only.

In view of the increasing demand for rail travel during the summer holidays, the Railways has shared a good news for the passengers, which will make it easier for them to book seats in trains.Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, the railway administration has extended the duration of the Vande Bharat Special train running between Lucknow (Northern Railway) and Chhapra till July 11, 2025.

This train will run 6 days a week:- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, while it will not run on Tuesday. This Vande Bharat Special service started on 27 March and was earlier limited till 26 April 2025.

But in view of the ever-increasing demand of passengers and the need to control traffic, the Railways has extended its operational period by about two and a half months.

Train Number:- 02270 Lucknow-Chhapra Vande Bharat Special Train Operating Time:

This special train will leave from Lucknow (Northern Railway) at 2:15 pm. It will then pass through Sultanpur (4:07 pm), Varanasi Junction (6:25 pm), Ghazipur City (7:35 pm), Ballia (8:25 pm) and Suremanpur (8:57 pm) and reach Chhapra at 9:30 pm.

The stoppages of the train have been selected in such a way to provide direct and faster option to the passengers from various parts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Train No.:- 02269 Chhapra-Lucknow Return Journey:

The return journey from Chhapra will start at 11:00 pm and will reach Lucknow (Northern Railway) at 6:30 am via Suremanpur (11:37 pm), Ballia (12:07 pm), Ghazipur City (01:01 pm), Varanasi Junction (2:35 pm) and Sultanpur (4:50 pm).

Features of train

A total of 08 modern coaches of Vande Bharat have been installed in this train, which are equipped with comfortable seating arrangements, high speed and modern facilities. To ensure comfortable travel of passengers, the train has been provided with air-conditioned chair car coaches.

It is clear from this initiative of the Railways that along with giving priority to passenger facilities, the Railways is also working towards making them useful by providing additional options to the needy passengers during the busy season.

This special train is especially beneficial for passengers who frequently travel on these routes for business, study or family reasons.
