Gorakhpur Development Authority has taken strict action against illegal colony construction on the land. This action was taken by the team of GDA’s enforcement zone three which reached the spot.
The team used a bulldozer and completely demolished the demarcation, road, boundary wall and electricity poles of the illegal colony.During this, some local people also protested, but the police force removed them from the spot.
Major actions
This action has given a clear message that GDA is taking strict action against illegal colonies and encroachment and will continue such action in future as well. On Wednesday, GDA demolished illegal plotting at three places in Jungle Kauriya area.
Prior permission was not taken for plotting on about 25 acres of land nor was their map approved. Gorakhpur Development Authority has recently taken major action against illegal plotting and encroachment in the city.
The enforcement team of the authority along with the police force demolished illegal constructions at various places. GDA Vice President said that 128 illegal colonies were identified in the expanded area of Master Plan 2031.
Out of this, 75 colonies have been demolished so far, whose total area is about 510 acres. During these actions, the authority has given a strict warning to those doing illegal plotting and has assured to keep a strict eye on such activities in future.
This action sends a strong message against illegal plotting and encroachment in the city. The authority has made it clear that strict action will be taken against such illegal activities in future as well.
GDA demolished illegal plotting
The government has intensified its action against illegal plotting and construction. Recently, bulldozers were used to demolish illegal plotting and construction in various areas of Gorakhpur city. This step has been taken with the aim of preventing unplanned development in the city and promoting planned urbanization.
GDA Vice President Anand Vardhan said that complaints of illegal plotting were being received. A team led by Chief Engineer-in-Charge Kishan Singh along with magistrate and police force reached Jungle Kauriya village.
There, Subhash Singh had done illegal plotting on 10 acres of land and Pradeep Sharma (Rishita Enclave) had done illegal plotting on 10 acres of land, which the team demolished with the help of a bulldozer.
After this, the team demolished five acres of illegal plotting done by Abhay Singh (Suryaodaya Colony) in Premnagar village.During these actions, the authority has given strict warning to those doing illegal plotting and has assured to keep strict monitoring on such activities in future.
