UP: Work on Hanumanganj route will complete soon

Gorakhpur-Ayodhya Highway's work going on faster, vehicles speed will increase

Vehicles will soon be seen speeding on the long-awaited Hanumanganj bypass. The work of this important project, being carried out under the supervision of the district administration and construction agencies, has now reached its final stage. It is expected that it will be opened to the general public in the next few weeks.

Vigilant monitoring of administration

The main road passing through Hanumanganj area has been facing a lot of traffic jams and congestion till now. This area used to get jammed badly especially during school hours, office hours and market hours. After the new bypass becomes operational, heavy vehicles and long distance traffic will get an alternative route.

Due to which the pressure inside the city will be reduced. The construction work of Hanumanganj bypass started ten years ago on Bhadaiya Sultanpur Sultanpur-Varanasi highway is in its final stage. Now the work of building a road on ROB (Railway Over Bridge) is going on.

People of Hanumanganj, Tikaitnagar, Zaidpur and surrounding rural areas are very excited about this project. They believe that with the start of this bypass, travel time will be reduced. Fuel will be saved and accidents will also be reduced. By Sunday, a one-lane road has been constructed.

It is expected that traffic will be restored on this route after May 10. Even after the road was built on the bypass in 2015, traffic was disrupted due to the absence of a railway bridge. Engineers of the railway and the bridge construction company are monitoring the ROB work. People are happy with the start of ROB work.

The District Magistrate and the concerned engineers are constantly inspecting the site so that there is no compromise on the quality of work. The administration says that a final safety check will be done before the inauguration.

NHAI Project Manager Nitin Kumar said that the work of railway over bridge is going on on the bypass. The company has been asked to complete the bridge work by May 10. After the construction of ROB, uninterrupted traffic will start on the highway.

The construction of Hanumanganj bypass will not only ease the traffic of the city, but it will also play an important role in the development of Barabanki. As soon as this route is fully operational, people will breathe a sigh of relief and trade and transport in the area will get a new impetus.

Enthusiasm among local people

The district administration is fully alert to ensure that the Hanumanganj bypass project is completed on time and in a quality manner. The District Magistrate himself is inspecting it from time to time and clear instructions have been given to the construction agency that any kind of laxity or negligence in the work will not be tolerated.

Besides, the Assistant Engineer, Public Works Department and other technical teams have been directed to be present on the site regularly so that the strength of the road, thickness of the asphalt, quality of the drain and signboards etc. can be checked.

The administration is also ensuring that the construction work is completed within the stipulated time frame so that the common people can get relief soon.

The public’s trust in development work remains intact. The news of the construction of Hanumanganj bypass has filled the people of the area with enthusiasm. Local residents say that for years they have been struggling with the problem of jam, dust and accidents. But now there is hope that these problems will end soon.

Shopkeepers, daily commuters and rural travellers believe that the opening of this bypass will not only smoothen the city traffic but will also make business and social life easier.

Some people praised the administration on social media and local forums and wrote that now Barabanki is also moving fast on the path of progress.
