IPL match cancelled in Lucknow due to India-Pakistan war

Due to the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, the IPL match to be held in Lucknow today has been canceled. This match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) was to be held at Ekana Stadium at 7:30 pm.

About 45 thousand tickets were sold for this match. According to sources, now the money for these tickets will be refunded both online and offline.Apart from this, BCCI has postponed all the matches of IPL, although the new dates are yet to be announced. There are 12 league matches left in the tournament and the final was to be held on 25 May.

On Thursday, the players of both the teams practiced at the Ekana Stadium. RCB captain Virat Kohli practiced on the field for about 2 hours, in which he batted aggressively and hit brilliant shots in 26 balls.

During this, he also met RCB coach Zaheer Khan. At the same time, RCB captain Rishabh Pant also tried to bat long in the nets, but he had difficulties in hitting shots.

The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala was cancelled after Pakistan attacked the border of Jammu, Punjab and Rajasthan with missiles and drones on May 8.

The match was abandoned, the floodlights were switched off and the spectators were sent home.After this there was a blackout in the city and the match could not be held due to security reasons.

IPL 2025 has seen 57 matches so far and both Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore are at the top of the table with 16 points each. Gujarat Titans are at the top due to better run rate.
