Many development works are being speeded up under the plans in Ayodhya, including the construction of a new terminal building. The capacity of the terminal building is to increase the capacity of the current terminal to 6 lakh passengers per year.
New terminal will be built at Ayodhya airport
Maharishi Valmiki International Airport located in Ayodhya district of UP is now being made even more modern and digital. The area of this terminal is 6500 square meters, and the proposed new terminal is being built in an area of about 65000 square meters.
This terminal will not only be of a new size and 10 times bigger, but will also be modern and efficient in terms of facilities.According to the information given by Airport Director Vinod Kumar, there is a possibility of continuous increase in passenger facilities due to construction in the second phase.
Separate facilities have been made for international and domestic flights in the new terminal. During this, many such arrangements have been made including belts, check-in counters, baggage, security check center, food court, huge waiting room, retail store and VIP lounge.
After the grand inauguration of Ramlala temple, the number of devotees and tourists coming from India and abroad is increasing day by day and this is not only important from the religious point of view.
Rather, it will give more strength to bring positive changes in the economy and infrastructure of Ayodhya. After the inauguration of Ram Temple, it received a grand welcome from the international tourists and hence it became one of the most visited places in India.
Increase in passenger capacity
This expansion of the airport in Ayodhya is an important initiative towards providing global level facilities. In December 2023, PM Modi inaugurated the first phase of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport with great pomp and show.
Currently, regular flights are being operated from here to many major cities. After the construction of the new terminal, this airport of Ayodhya will create its history among the major highway terminals of North India.
