In many districts of UP, vehicles parked illegally on the roadside have become a part of the problem of traffic jam. Parked vehicles have a bad effect on the traffic system. In view of this, the traffic police and the municipal corporation have taken action by running a campaign.

Administration’s baton was used on vehicles parked on the roadside

Traffic action has been taken against many vehicles in Gorakhpur district of UP. During this, the RTO and traffic police have taken action against vehicles parked on the roadside on the Gorakhpur and Varanasi highway.

Meanwhile, six buses have been seized and 38 heavy vehicles have been challaned. After this, a campaign was launched to make drivers aware and appeal was made to them not to park their vehicles on the road.

The city SP, along with Traffic Area Officer Kamlesh Kumar Singh, TE Manoj Kumar Rai, Ajit Kumar Pandey, conducted a traffic campaign in the entire city. During this campaign, 112 trucks and buses parked on the roadside in no parking areas were removed.

6 buses have been seized and 38 vehicles have been challaned. Similarly, during checking in urban areas, 962 vehicles found violating traffic rules are being challaned under various sections of the MV Act.A fine of Rs 42,500 has been collected on all these vehicles as special mitigation fee. SP Traffic said that this action will continue continuously.

Campaign launched to improve the city’s traffic system

During this time, the administration has appealed to the general public to park their personal vehicles only at the designated and correct parking places. Also, a warning was given to not do any kind of illegal parking on the roadside in future.

Otherwise, action will be taken against the vehicles without any warning and the vehicle owners will be responsible for it. It was made clear to the local people that the aim of this campaign is to make the traffic system in the city smooth and to provide a safe travelling experience to the common citizens.

Meanwhile, a senior traffic official said that despite repeated warnings, some vehicle owners are forced to park their vehicles unauthorizedly. Due to which not only traffic is affected but emergency services also have to face problems.

Some cases the vehicles will also be seized and vehicle parking especially near busy markets, main crossings and hospitals is also a major part of the traffic jam problem.

The local police, traffic police and the Parivartan Dal of the Municipal Corporation also supported this campaign with full vigor. During this campaign, the handcarts and stalls were also removed from the Industrial Area turn to the Bargadwa intersection.
