Barabanki-Ayodhya travelling becomes more comfortable

Journey

Now the journey from Barabanki-Ayodhya has become easy, fast and convenient. The railways have upgraded the track and increased the speed of trains to 110 kmph, so now this journey can be completed in just one hour.

Ayodhya, popularly known as Ramnagari, has now become more accessible for passengers from Barabanki and nearby areas. Taking an important step in this direction, Indian Railways has completed the major work of strengthening the tracks to facilitate traffic on the Barabanki-Ayodhya railway section.

Now trains will run at a speed of 110 kilometers per hour on this track, which is much higher than the previous maximum speed. Earlier it used to take about two hours to cover this distance, now the same journey can be completed in about one hour.

Earlier, due to the slow speed of trains and weak tracks, this distance of about 100 kms used to seem tiring to the passengers. Sometimes there were problems with the railway tracks and sometimes the trains used to run at a slow speed, which used to take time in the journey.

But now the Railways has not only laid new grade of tracks on this section but also made the structure durable by laying strong stones beneath the tracks.Along with this, the work of electrification on the entire route has also been completed, due to which now most of the trains will be operated by electricity and a positive step will also be taken towards the environment.

According to the Railway Department, around 35 trains run on this track every day, which will now benefit from the new speed standards. These high-speed trains will save valuable time of passengers and also increase convenience in transportation. Especially pilgrims, tourists and daily commuters will get direct benefit from this.

Though the condition of the tracks is improving, the infrastructure of Barabanki railway station is still awaiting development. Rs 34 crore has been sanctioned for the rejuvenation of the station under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Yojana’, but the construction work is going on at a slow pace.

The construction of the new station building is incomplete and at present ticket distribution and other administrative work is being carried out at the station with the help of temporary structures. Even a permanent office for the station superintendent and other staff is not available.

A plan has been made to provide state-of-the-art facilities to the passengers, but until the development work of the station is completed, this achievement of the railways will be considered incomplete.
