Barabanki to Lucknow Takes Off: 6 Lane Mega Elevated Corridor Announced

The Uttar Pradesh government has made a plan to solve the problem of traffic jam in Lucknow, under which an elevated corridor (skyway) will be constructed from Barabanki to High Court.

This will be a 6 lane skyway which may take about 3 years to build. The cost of building this road will be around Rs 2200 crore, this road will be about 9 kilometers long.

The distance from Polytechnic Square of Lucknow to Indira Nagar is only about 500 meters, but still people have to remain stuck in traffic jams for hours to cover this distance.

After the construction of this skyway, people will travel on it, which will solve the problem of traffic jam. After its construction, people going to Ayodhya, Barabanki, Gorakhpur, Gonda will not have to remain stuck in traffic for hours.

This skyway will start from Polytechnic Square, which will further end at Kishan Path.This skyway will also be connected to Agra Expressway, Shahid Path, Sultanpur Road, Kardoi Road, Kanpur and Raebareli Highway.

After this skyway construction, connectivity of many areas will also improve, which also includes areas like Munsi Pulia, Gomtinagar, Purana Lucknow, Indira Nagar. Then it will further be connected to High Court and Lohia Institute.

The Uttar Pradesh government has also used such technology in the construction of the skyway which will also reduce pollution caused by vehicles. After its construction, a distance of 25 kilometers will be covered in just 20 minutes.

Groundwork is ready to begin

Dr. Roshan Jacob (Divisional Commissioner) said that after the construction of this skyway, the problem of traffic jam in Lucknow will be solved and people will not face any problem in commuting.

The Vice President of Lucknow Development Authority, while giving information on the construction of the skyway, said that the preparation for its construction is in the final stages, and soon the work of its construction will also be started.
