The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has started a new initiative regarding the problems of outsourcing employees. Now the employees working on outsourcing in the state will not be exploited and their rights will be protected. This step can provide relief to lakhs of outsourcing employees. Who provide their services to government departments and other institutions. But they do not get facilities and rights like regular employees.
Yogi government is making this new arrangement
The Uttar Pradesh government has ensured that outsourcing employees get the right salary and other facilities according to their hard work. The Yogi government has decided to implement a new system. In which the rights of outsourcing employees will be taken care of. Now these employees will not be kept in temporary status for a long time nor will they be discriminated against. Outsourcing employees are being exploited in various departments in the district. They also do not get honorarium on time. Uttar Pradesh Outsource Service Corporation is being created by the government so that outsourcing employees can get relief from exploitation. Its preparation is almost complete.
The government has sought details of outsourcing employees from the health department so that these employees can be transferred to the corporation. This will provide relief to the employees and they will get timely honorarium as well as other facilities. Employees will not be exploited by forming a corporation. 150 employees are working in the health department through outsourcing. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Avnindra Kumar said that the details of the employees are being given. He said that in case of death due to accident in the corporation, Rs 2.50 lakh to Rs 7 lakh will be given to the family from EPF. After 60 years, an amount of Rs 1000 to Rs 7500 will be given as pension per month based on the service period. A widow will be given a lifetime pension of Rs 1000 to Rs 2900. A provision has been made to give pension ranging from Rs 1000 to Rs 2900 to the parents of unmarried employees on their death. Employees and their relatives will get free treatment facility in ESI hospitals.
Facilities available under new rules
The government has sought details of outsourced employees working in the health department. Such employees will be included in the corporation and will be given honorarium. Employees joining the corporation will get honorarium on time and EPF, ESI funds will also be deposited. Employees will also get other benefits. In this way, there will be no harassment and exploitation of employees. Honorarium will reach the accounts on the first of every month. Female employees will also get maternity leave. Outsourcing employees are given honorarium through outsourcing agency. Employees are given honorarium after deduction. That too is not given on time.
Employees are exploited and money is collected from them in the name of renewal. Money is not deposited in EPF and ESI accounts on time. On change of agency, the employees’ EPF, ESI, GST money remains in the old agency. Reservation is not being provided to SC/ST, OBC, Divyang and women. In view of this, the government is going to form Uttar Pradesh Outsource Service Corporation. The government has decided that outsourcing employees will get facilities like salary, allowances, and health services on time. Along with this, their working hours and their safety at the workplace will also be ensured. Now the government will create a regular monitoring mechanism for outsourcing employees. So that their exploitation can be stopped as well as their working conditions can be improved.
