Now the Allahabad High Court in UP has taken an important decision on marriage registration rules. The court said that there are many cases in which marriage certificates are based on fake documents. The court has given a period to the state government to improve these rules.

What changes have happened in marriage registration?

Now it has become difficult to get a marriage registered secretly in Uttar Pradesh without the consent and investigation of the family. Meanwhile, as per the order of Allahabad High Court, IG Registration has taken a final decision regarding marriage registration in a new way.

Now, photos and cards of the bride, groom and their parents’ house will not be enough to prove the marriage. The testimony and affidavit of the Pandit who performed the marriage must be included in the document.

This rule states that the priest conducting the marriage must be physically present at the time of registration and give an affidavit.

Now need a marriage certificate

Which includes name, address, valid identity card, mobile number, passport size photo, copy of Aadhar card. Now marriage will take place with only that person.

According to the information received, if the marriage takes place without a family committee, then the video of the marriage will have to be recorded in a pen drive device, which will be kept safe in the office.

If the family members are present at the time of registration and the officer is satisfied about the priority of marriage then he can give partial as well as full exemption from instructions to the applicants.

Meanwhile, the registration officer must mandatorily record on the marriage registration certificate that the registration court has said that there should be a register in every office.In which the monthly record of registered marriages will be certified by the Assistant Inspector General.
