CM Yogi Acts Swiftly as UP Faces Weather Woes, Urges Caution to Farmers

Taking seriously the incidents of heavy rains, hailstorms, thunderstorms and lightning in many parts of the state, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the administrative officials of the concerned districts to promptly carry out relief and rescue operations.

The Chief Minister said that the officials of the concerned districts should personally visit the area, take stock of the situation and provide immediate assistance to the affected people. He also asked to ensure that no victim has to wait for help.

Yogi Adityanath ordered that in the areas where there has been loss of life, loss of animals or damage to property due to natural disaster, financial assistance should be provided to the victims immediately.

Apart from this, the Chief Minister has asked to strictly ensure that during the purchase of wheat in Krishi Upaj Mandis, the grains kept in the open should not get spoiled due to rain under any circumstances.

For this, orders have also been given to all the concerned officials to make proper storage arrangements in the Mandis.The state government has assured the citizens in this hour of disaster that the state administration stands with them and all possible help will be provided.

Since late Wednesday evening, heavy rains were witnessed in districts like Gorakhpur, Basti, Ballia, Deoria, Ambedkarnagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Ghazipur, Kanpur, Siddharthnagar, Kushinagar, Balrampur, Mau, Maharajganj along with strong thunderstorms and lightning.Due to this situation, waterlogging is being seen at many places in the districts.

Apart from this, there is a huge power cut in the districts due to heavy rain and faulty-light since midnight, due to clouds and rain, there is darkness in the houses even during the day. People are facing difficulties due to heavy rain.
