The day care center built by the Municipal Corporation in Civil Lines can be inaugurated on April 19. Before this, there are also preparations to lay the foundation stone of a 500-bed shelter in AIIMS on April 18.
Apart from this, the CM will also be present in some other programs.In modern lifestyle, nuclear families have replaced joint families. Children want to take care of their parents. But the busyness of work does not give them this facility.
In such a situation, day care centers provide a safe, affectionate and social environment to the elderly.It will be constructed by Power Grid Corporation. In January last, an MoU was signed between Power Grid Corporation and AIIMS administration for this.
On completion of its construction, people coming to AIIMS for treatment of their patients will be able to stay overnight here at a cheap rate, which will provide them financial relief.
The entire cost of this construction will be borne by Power Grid Corporation from its CSR fund. Day care centers are not only soothing for the elderly, but also a source of relief for their family members.
When the family knows that their parents or grandparents are in good hands, they are able to concentrate on their work.
Day care center will become a support for the elderly
There is a need for the government and social organizations to take concrete steps in this direction. This facility can be made available to every elderly person in the society by opening more and more day care centers.
Also, people should be told about its benefits by running awareness campaigns.The purpose of its construction is that the elderly can spend their entire day here happily.
If the elderly from different places gather at one place, then their social relations will also remain intact by sharing each other’s joys and sorrows.Apart from this, a 500-bed shelter is being built in AIIMS.
A day care center has been constructed by the Municipal Corporation in Civil Lines at a cost of 2.5 crores. Its construction started in December 2023.
In this building, apart from books, painting material, yoga, meditation and counselling, medical facilities will also be available for the entertainment of the elderly.
