UP:Construction of two-lane bridge in Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur

A significant step has been done to improve connectivity for the populace and lessen the strain of cars on the roads in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. By the following year, the intended two-lane bridge in the Taramandal area will be finished.

The Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA) has expedited the bridge’s building preparations. Since only two businesses took part in the previous procurement, the administration has issued another call for bids for the construction project.

The tender process was canceled and a new tender had to be published since one of these companies was unable to achieve the technical qualifying requirements. As of right now, the deadline for applications is June 18th, and the tender will open that same day in the afternoon.

Beginning behind Gambhirnath Auditorium, this bridge will span the boating area’s water stream and arrive to Vasundhara Enclave. The initiative has already received administrative and financial approval two months ago, demonstrating the government’s commitment to it.

For the construction of this 112-meter-long bridge, which is expected to cost Rs 15.57 crore, the government has also released the first installment of Rs 7.78 crore.

According to Chief Engineer Kishan Singh, the GDA’s in-charge, the bridge will be 112 meters long overall, with a span arrangement of 7 by 16 meters planned. In addition, the carriageway’s width has been maintained at 7.5 meters, which will enable the successful movement of large vehicles.

Citizens heading towards the Deoria Bypass Road, the GST office, and neighboring colonies including Buddha Vihar Part A and B, Siddharth Nagar, and Azad Nagar East will have a new alternate route with the opening of this bridge. In addition to saving time, this will lessen traffic congestion.
