The development of the city in Gorakhpur district of UP will provide facilities to the local people. It will provide facilities for pedestrians and cyclists and parking will be available on the footpath. Half the population will benefit from this project.
The picture of Shastri Chowk in Gorakhpur will change after a few days. The Municipal Corporation will remove many things including electricity distribution, shops, hotels, offices.
It has been decided to build a modern multi-complex and a money auditorium here when the land is available. About 30 to 35 crore rupees will be spent on this plan and preparations for it have been made.
In this decision, the Municipal Corporation will remove Transport Office, Electricity Distribution Section Office, Chandralok Lodge, Store, Transport Office and Hotel Mayur Medical and many shops around the designated area from the new building.
But in the interest of the public, it was decided in the meeting that a part of the substation will remain intact to maintain power supply.
Gorakhpur Smart City Scheme
Engineer Om Prakash Yadav said that for the renovation, there will be parking for 28 cars in the basement. 16 shops will be built on the ground floor and 10 offices on the first floor and a customized mini auditorium of 261 seats will be built on the second floor.
To control air pollution in Gorakhpur city, air purifier will be installed at Shastri Chowk.This unit will operate in an area of 40 square meters and will provide clean air to the local people by filtering pollutants from the air.
This will improve the air quality and the entire city will succeed in becoming pollution free.During this, Chief Engineer Chauhan said that an underground rain water tank of 150 kilowatt capacity will also be placed in this complex. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Gaurav Singh Sokarwal said that 30 to 32 affected shopkeepers and hotel lawn operators will be able to get shops on priority basis in the complex.
The implementing agency has provided separate space for increasing the number of shops and for the bank office.Now the Municipal Corporation has made better efforts to make Gorakhpur a smart city.
Road widening, parking arrangements, footpath construction, all such schemes to increase greenery will change the face of the city and citizens will get better facilities.
