Two weeks after the terror attack in Pahalgam, the Indian Army and Air Force have destroyed terror hideouts in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Pakistan in a joint operation.
The Indian armed forces have not harmed any military unit of Pakistan. In this context, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement- Indian armed forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor’.
Under this, terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir was targeted, from where terrorist attacks against India were planned and directed.
The statement said – A total of nine (9) locations have been targeted. Our actions have been focused and non-aggressive in nature. No Pakistani military installations have been targeted. India has shown great restraint in the selection of targets and the manner of execution.
These steps have been taken in the wake of the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam in which 25 Indians and one Nepali national were killed.We are delivering on our commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable.
More details about ‘Operation Sindoor’ will be provided later today.According to initial information, several terrorists have been killed and some have been injured in the attack by the Indian Army on terrorist hideouts.
