Widening of roads, relief from traffic jams

Soon the distance from Kannauj to Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh will become much more pleasant. The old two-lane road running from Gursahaiganj to Fatehgarh will be converted into a four-lane road.

The Public Works Department has approved the proposal sent by the block department, due to which the work will be started soon after releasing the budget.

During this time, a plan has been made to acquire 30 meters of land on both sides to widen the road to 22 meters. A route of about 7 kilometers will pass in the border from Gursahaiganj to Kali river. This route will be connected to Ghaziabad Green Field Highway at Gursahaiganj.

What are the major benefits for passengers?

A plan of about Rs 110 crore is being made in Malikpur town to build an overbridge over the railway track. At the same time, a new bridge is to be built over the Kali river at a cost of Rs 15 crore. It is being told that more than 20 thousand vehicles ply on this route every day.

With the construction of the road, people of both districts will get a chance to travel beautifully, and the industrial sector will also grow. DM Ashutosh Mohan said that the proposal for the road has been approved and the construction work will be started after getting the budget.

Executive Engineer of Public Works Department Sanjeev Kumar said that only seven kilometers of road widening will be possible in the district. And all further action will be done in Farrukhabad. The Public Works Department will constantly monitor the construction work in both the districts.
