The Noida Airport expansion will be equipped with many state-of-the-art facilities to meet the growing demand for aviation in the future. This will include state-of-the-art terminals, improved security facilities, smart check-in and baggage systems and eco-friendly design.
Apart from this, the airport will use the latest technologies like automated check-in and biometric systems which will make the passengers’ experience even more comfortable.
A 45 km long railway line will be laid A 45 km long railway line will be laid between Chola and Rundhi. A 16 km long line will be laid from Chola to Noida Airport and a 29 km long line will be laid from Airport to Rundhi.
With the loops to be built at both the stations, the total length of the railway line will become 68 km.Railways will acquire land and construct the railway line. Railway department will take action from land acquisition to construction.
It is estimated that around Rs 2,350 crore will be spent on this project. The railway track will pass through the boundary of the aviation hub in the Tappal area between Aligarh and Gautam Buddha Nagar and go up to Rundhi. Through this, Palwal along with the three districts will be connected to the airport by rail.
This route will connect New Delhi station via Chola and Delhi Howrah. Through this route, passenger and freight trains will be able to operate between Noida Airport and IGI Airport New Delhi via New Delhi Railway Station.
The authority has amended it and approved the alignment through the canal in Sectors 6, 7, 8 instead of Sector 5 and 5A. All these sectors are of industrial and multipurpose category, in which activities like logistics and warehousing etc. will take place.

The alignment of the railway line to be built between Chola and Rundhi was passing through Sectors 5, 5A, 6, 7, 8 of YEIDA’s Master Plan 2041, due to which the sectors were getting divided into two parts. Rundhi station is on the Delhi Mumbai railway route and Chola is on the Delhi Howrah route.
With the construction of the new railway line, both the important railway routes will be connected. This railway line will pass through two sides of Noida Airport. The new railway line will pass in front of the cargo terminal of Noida Airport.
Passengers and goods will move through it.Lakhs of people will benefit from its construction. People of Gautam Buddha Nagar as well as Bulandshahr and Aligarh districts will benefit from it. The process of land acquisition for the railway line is expected to begin soon.
The alignment of the new railway line has been finalised to connect the Delhi Mumbai railway route to the Delhi Howrah railway route. This railway route connecting Rundhi to Chola will be 68 km long.
The North Central Railway had sent a letter to the Yamuna Authority (YEIDA) for a final decision on the alignment. YEIDA has agreed to it with some amendments.
