Uttar Pradesh: The end of Ballia city’s biggest problem, the massive traffic jam, is now near. There is now a big news of relief for the common people who have been suffering due to traffic jams for years.
The government has approved the construction of a 12 kilometer long bypass for Ballia city, which will not only eliminate traffic congestion but will also give a new breath to the roads of Ballia.
Traffic jam was not a new issue in Ballia, it had become the biggest obstacle to the pace of the city. Be it school going children, office going employees or vehicles of businessmen, everyone used to remain stuck in traffic for hours.
But now this decision of the government has shown a new ray of hope to the people of the district. An amount of about Rs 48 crore will be spent on the construction of the bypass and this work is going to start soon.
The bypass will be constructed from Sagarpali Vaina to Bansdih Road, so that heavy vehicles, trucks and passenger buses coming from far-off places will not need to pass through the city.
This will reduce the burden on the roads of the main city and improve the daily traffic. The special thing is that a new overbridge is also proposed under this scheme, which will make the movement easier.
Ballia’s Chief Revenue Officer Tribhuvan said that till now the entire traffic in the city was dependent on the only overbridge, due to which daily traffic jams had become a common occurrence.
This situation was quite worrying. In view of this, District Magistrate Praveen Kumar Lakshyakar prepared a concrete proposal after a thorough study and sent it to the government.
Acting swiftly on this proposal, Uttar Pradesh Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh got the amount of Rs 48 crore sanctioned. The work of land acquisition for the bypass has also started and it is expected that the construction work will gain momentum in the coming months. The aim of this project is not only to control the traffic but also to develop Ballia as an organized and beautiful city.
Local citizens have welcomed this decision. Senior citizens Narendra Mishra, Asif Zaidi and Ganeshanand Mishra said that traffic jam in Ballia had made life difficult for common people.
Sometimes it was impossible to reach school, hospital or important meetings on time. But now this step taken by the administration is commendable and it will prove to be important in changing both the condition and direction of Ballia.
Residents believe that if the construction of the bypass is completed within the stipulated time frame, the image of Ballia can be much better than other cities of the state. Not only will the citizens get relief, but business, transport and local economy will also get a boost.
This is the beginning of a historic change for Ballia. This city, which has been infamous for traffic jams for a long time, is now going to get an organized, smooth and modern look.
