A new dawn of development has come in Ghazipur district. The administration has recently started the overbridge construction directly benefit 50 villages.

This overbridge will connect Basti city to the main national highway and will also make travelling to rural areas convenient and safe.

The aim of this project is not only to increase the ease of traffic but it will also prove to be a big step in regional development.

Villagers will get direct benefit

This overbridge will be built on the main highway passing through the main intersection of Basti city. Its biggest advantage will be that more than 50 villages around Basti city will be directly connected to the highway.

Through this, people of rural areas will now be able to easily reach the district headquarters, markets, hospitals, educational institutions and other important places.

According to the local administration, the construction of this overbridge will reduce the problem of traffic jams to a great extent. Because it will streamline the movement of vehicles on the main road.

The construction of a two-lane overbridge has begun on the western railway crossing of the local market. This will improve traffic. People of about 50 villages will be benefited and there will be relief from traffic jams.

To avoid any problems in the construction work, barricading is being done and digging of pits is being done. Also, the road has been made one-way, this has a direct impact on traffic.

Traffic gets disrupted for some time during the day. At the same time, people of more than 50 villages including Barhapur, Bantra, Sihori, Nasara, Davepur, Lakhmipur, Pachara will get convenience in transportation.

New overbridge, an important step in local development

The biggest benefit of this overbridge will be to those 50 villages whose people earlier used to waste time and energy in commuting to the city. Now they will not have to face any major traffic jam or obstruction.

Apart from this, the construction of this overbridge will also encourage regional trade and economic activities. This will prove to be a boon for farmers and small traders.

Because now they will be able to easily take their produce or goods to the city and sell them.Also, they will not face any problem in reaching hospitals, schools and markets. The route has been made one-way since the construction work started.

However, the work of removing electric poles and trees has not started yet. It is known that railway crossings have to be closed many times due to the arrival of trains.

Uttar Pradesh Setu Nigam has to construct a two-lane overbridge on the western railway crossing of Nandganj railway station at a cost of Rs 43.36 crore.

For this, the bridge corporation has started the work of digging the pit for the pillar with the help of JCB by barricading on both the sides.
