PM Modi is famous for his simplicity and connection with the public. He has shown his closeness with the common citizens by using public transport many times.
His travel in the metro not only reflects his humility.Rather, it also shows that using public transport is the right of every citizen, irrespective of his position.
Travelling by metro, a convenient and safe travel option
Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the first section of the Kanpur Metro Rail Project. Before the inauguration, he bought a metro ticket like a normal passenger and traveled in the metro. During this time, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also with him.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi may travel by metro from Chunniganj to Kanpur Central. He is likely to flag off the train from Chunniganj underground station. Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation has started preparations.
On the other hand, the Metro officials have planned that the first passenger train will be flagged off by the Prime Minister by carrying 30 school children from the first five stations of the underground section of Corridor-1.After this, he himself should travel by another train along with the Chief Minister, ministers and senior most officials.
Due to better parking facilities near Nayaganj underground metro station, Metro Rail officials believe that the Prime Minister can inaugurate the project by going to this station. This is also possible from Chunniganj or Bada Chauraha.
Since Kanpur Central underground station has a lot of traffic, lack of parking space and a large number of passengers coming to the railway station, the possibility of PM visiting this station is being considered the least.
However, the final decision has to be taken by the PMO. Nowadays, it has become an important part of urban transport. It is not only a means of fast and economical travel.
Rather, many measures have been taken for the safety and convenience of passengers. The high speed and timeliness of metro trains ensure that passengers reach their destination on time.
Fast and time saving, no congestion
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s travelling in the metro not only reflects his simplicity but also shows that the use of public transport is for all citizens. His initiative promotes the feeling of equality and unity in the society.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi can flag off the train on April 24 from Chunniganj, Bada Chauraha, Nayaganj or Kanpur Central underground metro station. They can also travel in the metro between the newly built stations. In view of this, UPMRC started special preparations in these stations on Sunday.
There is a high possibility of the train being flagged off from Nayaganj itself. Traveling in the metro is cheaper than other modes of transport.Due to which it is an economical option for daily commuters.
Special coaches of the metro have reserved seats for women, senior citizens and disabled persons, which provides them comfort during the journey.CCTV cameras, emergency buttons and trained security personnel in metro stations and trains ensure the safety of passengers.
