The temperature has dropped significantly in Uttar Pradesh, rain and strong winds may continue in the eastern and western areas for the next few days. The weather has suddenly changed in Uttar Pradesh and this change has brought relief to the people of the state.
On one hand, where the rising temperature and humid heat were troubling people for the past few weeks, now the sky has started to become cloudy and light to moderate rain showers in many districts are giving people a chance to breathe in the cold.
On Monday, many areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh witnessed rain accompanied by strong winds, due to which a drop in temperature was recorded.
There was a sudden drop in the day temperature in major cities of the state like Prayagraj, Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur, Jhansi and Agra, which brought a lot of relief to the common people. According to the Meteorological Department, this trend may continue in the coming days as well.
In many parts of the state, there may be rain and strong winds along with thunderstorms till May 4. During this time, whether it is the farmers working in the fields or the labourers working hard in the sun, everyone has got immediate relief from this change in the weather.
For Wednesday, the weather department has predicted relatively dry weather in western Uttar Pradesh, but there is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms again in the eastern parts. During this time, winds can blow at a speed of 25 to 35 kilometers per hour.
Along with this, warnings of lightning and dust storms have also been issued at some places. According to meteorologists, there may be rain in both eastern and western parts of the state on Wednesday and this situation may persist till May 4.
This change in weather has had a direct impact on the temperature. While the day temperature is expected to drop by up to 2 degrees Celsius, no significant change has been observed in the night temperature.
Ballia was the hottest on Sunday, where the maximum temperature reached 42 degrees Celsius. Whereas the minimum temperature in Kanpur city was recorded at 18.4 degrees Celsius, which was the lowest in the entire state.
According to the latest alert issued by the Meteorological Department, the districts of Uttar Pradesh where rain is expected on Wednesday include Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Shravasti, Gonda, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Ghazipur, Varanasi, Chandauli, Mirzapur and Sonbhadra.
Strong winds may blow at some places in these areas and rain may also occur with thunder. Apart from this, there is a good possibility of rain in Balrampur, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Gorakhpur and Deoria districts.
Dust storms along with winds with a speed of 30 kmph are likely in these areas, due to which people need to remain alert.
School-college going students, office going employees and travellers should take information about the weather before travelling this week, as sudden change in weather can cause problems on the way. It is also worth mentioning that farmers can also benefit from this weather.
The mango orchards which are getting scorched due to the continuous heat will also get relief, due to which the problem of fruit falling will be reduced to some extent.
At present, Uttar Pradesh is getting relief from the heat, but at the same time there is a warning that sudden changes in the weather can also lead to incidents like lightning, strong winds and storms. In such a situation, vigilance and caution are extremely important.
