There has been progress in the field of road construction and development in UP over the years. The central and state governments are working together to lay a network of roads across the country in a phased manner. Road construction is also an important part of employment, development and social inclusion.
Headlines released under road construction project
CM has decided to build roads costing 20 to 25 crores. Under the PWD action plan, recommendations of every MLA have been taken. Proposals for special repairs and road construction and repair have been taken from the MLAs.
First of all, the technical and documents of the proposals received from the public representatives were tested. Roads will be built in every assembly constituency of UP at a cost of crores. The proposals received from the public representatives are being included in the PWD and action plan.
First of all, the usefulness of these proposals will be thoroughly examined. PWD said that there is a road network of about 3 lakh kilometers. The budget of the department is 30 to 32 thousand crores rupees. In such a situation, an action plan for this work is being prepared.
There will be equal development in all the districts and assembly constituencies of Uttar Pradesh. Therefore, proposals for road construction and repair have been given to all the MLAs. These proposals are being finalized by holding a meeting chaired by the DM of the district.
Now these proposals will be thoroughly examined at the headquarters level, instructions will be given from the high level, traffic and technical points will be considered and the proposals will be finalised.
Schemes of Chief Minister and Road Transport Minister
The CM said that the officials have been instructed to complete the construction work on time and with good quality. This step will help in starting the infrastructure and providing facilities to the citizens. The mission of road development in the state has been stated to be till 2030.
A network of high quality roads is being laid for safe and smooth travel. Now crores of rupees will be allocated by the government for the construction of urban roads in the district. Work will be done under various schemes for road improvement in urban areas.
Meanwhile, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has given instructions to continue the work of laying a network of roads across the country. Under the schemes, roads will be constructed and improved properly from border areas to cities.
It should not happen that a road with relatively less traffic is selected for construction, but approval is not given because there is not much traffic. Also, the PWD said that as per the investigation, the action plan will also be finalised at the government level.
