Rail corridor will set up on Gonda to Lucknow route in UP

Rail corridor

Railways are considered the lifeline of the country, but due to the increasing population and demand for travel, the pressure on trains is increasing day by day. This is directly affecting the punctuality of trains, passenger facilities and freight services.

In such a situation, the railway department has taken a new initiative called Artible Corridor. The construction of the rail corridor will reduce the pressure on the railway track. The speed and number of trains can be increased and overall the railway system will become more efficient.

The pressure of trains will be reduced by the arterial corridor

The Artible Corridor is a specially designed alternative railway route. Which is being built to reduce traffic pressure from major routes. This corridor will be parallel to the existing railway network and its purpose is to provide an alternative route to the trains running on the main routes.

There is a plan to divert mainly freight trains and long distance passenger trains so that the movement of trains on congested sections can be smooth.Indian Railways has decided to build an arterial corridor (like a ring road) on four railway routes including Gonda to Lucknow to reduce the pressure of trains on the tracks and make travel easier.

The Railway Board has also approved the survey work for this. As the number of trains has increased, traffic jams have started occurring on the main routes. Trains will be diverted through the arterial corridor.Due to this, the number of trains on the original route will decrease and the operations will become more timely and systematic.

Often goods trains have to give way to passenger trains. Due to which there is a delay in goods transportation.By providing a separate route to goods trains through the arterial corridor, they will be able to run faster and without any interruption. This will greatly benefit the logistics sector.

Rail traffic will get new speed

Less traffic means less congestion. This will ensure that passenger trains reach their destinations on time. Which will be a relief for the common passengers. It has become difficult to start new trains on existing congested routes.

But with the opening of the arterial corridor, space will be created for new trains. This will help in route expansion and meeting the growing demand of passengers. With the fast and convenient movement of goods trains, industries will be able to get raw materials and finished products on time.

This will speed up production. Reducing delays in train operations will save fuel and also reduce pollution. The construction and operation of the arterial corridor will create many employment opportunities at the local level. This project will be completed by the year 2031.

After its construction, the pressure of trains going from Rajdhani and Barabanki to Gonda will be reduced on the track. Also, passengers will get relief as their journey will be completed soon.

Railway Board official Sharad Kumar said that this corridor is very important for better management of railway traffic. This proposed 170 km long corridor includes Lucknow to Gonda, Lucknow-Barabanki-Ayodhya, Lucknow-Sultanpur-Varanasi, Aishbagh-Daliganj-Sitapur City routes.
