The UP government has prepared an ambitious plan for the renovation of rural roads. Under which a budget of Rs 6.35 crore has been allocated.
The objective of this scheme is to improve the quality and safety of village roads by renovating them every five years.
Roads of villages will be improved with Rs. 6.35 crores
Bahraich Till now the renewal cycle of rural roads was eight years. But due to increasing population and number of vehicles, the condition of roads was deteriorating quickly.
Therefore, the government has decided to reduce the renewal cycle to five years. The Public Works Department has prepared this proposal. Which will be implemented soon. The rural areas of the district will be transformed with Rs 6 crore 35 lakh.
For this, the District Panchayat has prepared an action plan.Roads, drains and pavements are to be constructed at 35 places with this amount. While preparing the action plan, distance has been maintained from six development blocks, where not a single work will be done.
The maximum number of works have come in the account of Huzurpur block. There is a discussion in the area about this imbalance of development. Under this scheme, along with the construction of roads, the responsibility of maintenance for five years will be on the concerned contractors.
Due to which the condition of roads will always remain good, this initiative will reduce accidents in rural areas and villagers will get better transport facilities.Although the district panchayat is the biggest panchayat institution for the entire district, the maximum development work is being seen in Huzurpur block.
There is a discussion about this. Most of the villages of Kaiserganj, Jarwal and Shivpur development areas are in the erosion affected category. There is a greater need for development here.
Some villages of Payagpu, Risia and Visheshwarganj blocks have problems of roads and drainage. The fact that these development areas have not come to the attention of the District Panchayat is a big question.
New policy will lead to continuous improvement
This initiative will accelerate development in rural areas and will make it easier for farmers to reach their produce to the market. It will also generate employment opportunities and strengthen the rural economy.
The District Panchayat has prepared a blueprint for development in rural areas.Under this, there are preparations to construct CC roads, drains and pavements in eight out of the 14 blocks of the district. The tender process for this has also been completed.
Construction work is to be done at a total of 35 places. In this, 23 works will be done in Huzurpur block itself, while one work each will be done in Fakharpur, Mahsi, Mihinpurwa and Nawabganj, and three works each will be done in Balha and Tejwapur.
Work will start in these areas in 10 to 15 days.On the other hand, not a single work has been allotted in Payagpur, Kaiserganj, Jarwal, Shivpur Risia and Visheshwarganj blocks of this district. The blueprint for development has been prepared based on the proposals that came in the board meeting.
The tender process is being adopted for the same work. This will improve the connectivity of villages. The government has sanctioned an amount of crores of rupees for the improvement of roads in rural areas. With this budget, dilapidated roads of various villages of the state will be reconstructed.
This will provide better transport facilities to the villagers and reduce road accidents. These improvements will not only provide better roads to the villagers but will also improve the local economy.
Better roads will help in transporting agricultural products, education, health services and other needs. Apart from this, this step will also increase employment opportunities in rural areas.
