Basti, Gorakhpur, Deoria in Uttar Pradesh, the weather suddenly changed late on Wednesday evening. After intense heat during the day, the weather became pleasant from the evening onwards.
Basti, Kushinagar, Ambedkar nagar, Khalilabad, Siddharth Nagar as well as some other districts in the state witnessed lightning and rain accompanied by strong winds on Wednesday midnight, hailstorm was also observed in Basti.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds for the next two-three days. Light rain and strong winds are expected in districts like Gorakhpur, Basti, Varanasi, Chandauli, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Gonda, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Maharajganj, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Deoria, Sant Kabir Nagar, Jaunpur and Ghazipur located in Uttar Pradesh on April 11.
According to the scientists of the Meteorological Department, these winds will blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.Basti, Ambedkarnagar, Sant Kabirnagar, Siddharthnagar, Gorakhpur, Deoria, and Khalilabad in Uttar Pradesh have been witnessing dark clouds in the sky since the morning of April 10, along with heavy rains accompanied by strong winds and lightning.
Due to such change in weather, a drop in temperature can be seen, in addition, power cuts have increased significantly in the districts. There is a possibility of light drizzle along with strong winds and lightning on 10, 11, 12 and 13 April in Uttar Pradesh.According to the IMD report, a drop of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius can be seen in the state, which is likely to provide some relief from the heat.
On April 11 and 12, districts located in eastern Uttar Pradesh like Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Mau, Azamgarh, Ballia, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Etawah, Aura, Kanpur Rural, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Faizabad, Ambedkar Nagar, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Chitrakoot, Banda, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jalaun, Jhansi and Lalitpur, an alert has been issued for rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.
