Strict action in UP on E-rickshaw drivers

Cracking down on the arbitrariness of E-rickshaw drivers in various cities of Uttar Pradesh. So far, action has been taken against more than 100 drivers. This step has been taken with the aim of improving the traffic system and increasing road safety.

Action taken on 100 so far

Despite the ban on the operation of e-rickshaws on restricted routes in Siddharthnagar district of UP, the drivers continued to act arbitrarily. The traffic police challaned the e-rickshaws and seized five of them.

Along with this, an awareness campaign was launched at major intersections.Now e-rickshaws will not be able to run without license and registration. The divisional transport department has launched a campaign to take action against them.

So far, action has been taken against more than 100 e-rickshaw drivers in the investigation.15 such people were found who did not even have a license. Action was taken against others for not registering and other deficiencies.

A special awareness program was organized for e-rickshaw drivers under Road Safety Month in Balrampur.During this period, 55 vehicles were challaned and a fine of Rs 1 lakh was collected. Delhi government also tightened its grip on illegal e-rickshaws.

114 rickshaws were destroyed. Now 100 illegal e-rickshaws are being caught every day. Special checking has been started from 1st to 30th April.So far, action has been taken against 100 e-rickshaws in the district. Challan and seizure have been done.

Some drivers ignore safety standards by carrying more passengers than the prescribed capacity. Due to which the risk of accidents increases. In places like Ayodhya, e-rickshaw drivers charge more than the prescribed fare from the passengers due to which passengers have to face financial difficulties.

The number of e-rickshaws has been increasing for many years. This is causing accidents and traffic jams. The situation is the same at the four tehsil headquarters of the district including the headquarters.Due to the lack of a fixed route, every town is in the grip of traffic jams.

At the same time, many people are suddenly becoming victims of accidents. It is being reported that a large number of minors are driving e-rickshaws.Now the government has taken cognizance of this. Along with deciding their route, it has also directed to investigate and take action.
