UP: 6 overbridges be built on Bulandshahr district national highway

There is a proposal to build a foot overbridge near the oil mill near the industrial area on National Highway 34 in Bulandshahr district. The aim of this project is to provide safe passage for pedestrians and reduce the number of road accidents.

Pedestrians often get injured while crossing National Highway 34 near the oil mill located in the industrial area.On the demand of local industrialists and citizens, the technical team of the National Highways Authority of India has prepared a plan to build a foot overbridge after surveying the place.

The survey report has been sent to the headquarters and as soon as the budget is approved, the construction work will be started. Foot overbridges will be constructed at six identified black spots located on Bulandshahr/Secunderabad National Highway-34.A total of Rs 25 crore will be spent on the construction.

The tender process has been completed by the National Highway Authority.Work can start by the end of this month. The estimated cost of construction of this foot overbridge is around Rs 2 crore. According to project director PK Kaushik, the proposal has been sent to the headquarters. Work will start as soon as the budget is approved.

Foot overbridges are to be built at six places on National Highway 34. The tender process for this has been completed. About Rs 25 crore will be spent on the construction. Steps have been taken towards building foot overbridges to prevent frequent accidents.

The construction work of the proposed link highway near village Dariyapur to connect National Highway 34 and National Highway 334 (Bulandshahr-Meerut) has not started yet.

Even now, drivers going from Meerut to Ghaziabad via Aligarh and Bulandshahr have to pass through Bhud Chauraha. In such a situation, the pressure of vehicles on Bhud Chauraha is increasing and there is a constant traffic jam.

Foot over bridge will be constructed on National Highway

While entering towards IP College, Bulandshahr on the National Highway, accidents are happening continuously due to the distance of the cut of Maman Road at Adouli intersection and Thandi Pyaau.

There has been a demand for construction of flyovers at these places for a long time, but the authorities have not taken any concrete steps yet. Accidents are happening at these places every day. Asif, a resident of village Margubpur, said that there is no arrangement for smooth movement of vehicles at the intersection.

In such a situation, construction of a flyover is necessary here also. Accidents were happening continuously at various places on Ghaziabad-Aligarh (National Highway 34).To prevent this, black spots were identified. On an average, 50 accidents were occurring every month at the black spot located in Secunderabad Industrial Area.

Due to the large number of workers working in factories and the high speed of vehicles, people were losing their lives in accidents. There was a long standing demand to build foot overbridges at these places to curb accidents.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) started this process about a year ago. At present, the tender process for construction of foot overbridges at six places has been completed.A six feet high overbridge will be constructed on this highway from Lalkuan in Ghaziabad to Aligarh.

According to officials, foot over bridges will be constructed at Dhum Manikpur in Dadri, Bhil Akbarpur, oil mill in industrial area of ​​Secunderabad, new vegetable market, village Dariyapur, near Yagyadutt Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya in Khurja countryside.
