Today, an increase in the price of petrol and diesel has been observed in most districts of Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow, although their prices have been fluctuating for the last 10 days.
In Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow, the price of petrol on Saturday stood at Rs 294.69 per liter, which remained unchanged compared to the previous day. At the same time, the price of diesel remained stable at Rs 287.81 per liter.
The prices of petrol and diesel have fluctuated several times in the state’s petrol and diesel market within the last ten days, due to which the common consumer remains constantly cautious. Petrol prices have fluctuated between ₹ 94.68 to ₹ 294.73 and diesel prices have fluctuated between ₹ 287.80 to ₹ 287.86.
This fluctuation also depends on the global crude oil market, tax policy, distribution cost and internal transportation cost of the state. Stable prices of petrol and diesel are a sign of relief among consumers, but the sudden increase is affecting people’s pockets.
