Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation is working on several important projects to solve parking problems in the city and promote commercial activities.
This project will not only increase the income of the Municipal Corporation but will also reduce the parking problem in Golghar area.
Through all these projects, Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation is committed to improve the infrastructure of the city and provide better facilities to the citizens.
Municipal corporation will build shopping complex with parking
Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation has planned a global complex and parking project to improve the traffic system and commercial activities of the city. Under this project, a four-storey shopping complex and multi-level parking will be constructed on the municipal land.
To solve the parking related problems in the city, the Municipal Corporation is constructing multi-level parking at various places. In this sequence, the corporation will construct a shopping complex along with parking on the land of Sabzi Mandi descending from Gorakhnath Bridge.
Parking will be built on two floors in it.Possibilities are also being explored to develop a vending zone on the ground floor of the building. There is a plan to build commercial shops, restaurants and office space on the second and third floors.
These will be given on rent by taking a lump sum premium for a fixed period. So that a regular source of income of the Municipal Corporation can be created. The height of the building can be increased further as per the need.
A separate systematic vending zone will be developed for the vegetable vendors who set up their shops on this ground, so that they can do business in a systematic manner. The problem of encroachment on the road and land can be resolved.
Vegetable vendors will get a big gift
The main objective of this project is to eliminate the problem of traffic jam on Park Road. To increase parking facilities and promote local business. Along with this, the income of the Municipal Corporation will increase, which will be used in other development works of the city.
Resident engineer NK Singh is preparing the proposal under the supervision of C&DS project manager Vivek Gupta. There will be parking arrangements in the basement and first floor of the ‘Global Complex and Parking’ project.
So that a large number of cars and bikes can be parked in the parking lot equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. This step will not only increase the income of the Municipal Corporation but will also provide permanent employment options to the residents of the metropolis.
Along with this, the street vendors here will also get a permanent well-organized vending zone. Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Singh Sogarwal has instructed Unit 42 of C&DS (Construction and Design Services) to prepare a proposal for this.
Commercial shops will also be built above it.A vending zone will also be constructed here for vegetable vendors. C&DS Unit-42 has been directed to prepare the DPR of the project.
As part of the initiative to become self-reliant by increasing the sources of income, the corporation will construct a shopping complex and parking on its land near Gorakhnath Bridge.
