UP: Electricity will never be cut in Lucknow!

To further improve the power system in UP, the state government has announced comprehensive plans, which will bring significant changes in the power supply in the coming time.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to ensure electricity supply to all consumers before the summer. The government has also ordered to build new sub-stations, transmission and distribution networks for this. Under this, new powerhouses will be constructed in many districts of the state.

Due to which the problem of tripping and overload will be reduced. To further improve the power system of the capital, the Electricity Department has sent a proposal of Rs 422 crore to the headquarters.

Along with dealing with the heat this year, all the zones have prepared a plan to provide better electricity to the consumers in the coming winter and summer.

Engineers of all zones of the capital had already sent the list, which was approximately Rs. 600 crores. Some cuts were made in it and then many works which were for the future were removed and the present needs were kept in mind. Now this list is worth Rs. 422 crores.

If the management agrees to get all this work done in the electricity department of Lucknow and the budget is received, then there will be a great improvement in the electricity system for the next five years.

According to Amausi Zone Chief Engineerp Rajat Juneja, work proposals worth Rs 108 crore, according to Jankipuram Zone Chief Engineer VP Singh, work proposals worth Rs 104 crore and about Rs 100 crore in Gomti Nagar Zone have been sent to the Board of Directors for approval.

Successful implementation of schemes

It includes some civil works, works related to capacitor bank, earthing of panels, water level earthing of power transformers, fuse sets, wires, pole replacement, guarding and construction of substations.

Under this blueprint, a list of dozens of works like construction of new lines, capacity enhancement of substations, ring main unit, trolley transformer, relay etc. has been prepared and sent.

As soon as the Board of Directors approves Rs 422 crore, work to improve the power system of the capital will be started.The engineers of all these areas have already completed all the work to deal with the heat, but to meet the increasing demand of electricity and to further strengthen the infrastructure, a proposal of Rs 108 crore 77 lakh has again been sent in the Business Plan 2025-2026.

There are three circles and more than two dozen power substations under Lucknow Zone.Such as Chowk, Residency, Ganeshganj, Charbagh, Rajajipuram, Raj Bhawan, Aishbagh, Ansal, Shaheed Path, Vidhan Sabha, Jawahar Bhawan Indira Bhawan, Mall Avenue, Japling Road, Butler Palace, Aminabad, Thakurganj and dozens of other major areas are included.
